Modern technology have resulted in CCTVs being made possible. They are very common to us nowadays and we are bound to see them everywhere we go.
The main uses of CCTV systems are for surveillance or to act as a deterrence to theft, and robbery. As many people fear being caught stealing or doing things that are against the law, thus, they might change their mind if they spot a CCTV in the vicinity. Having a CCTV camera can help the police or security personnel identify the culprit which makes the job of apprehending him/her much easier for the police. Thus we can say that CCTVs can also be used for identification purposes. Also, the security guards would not have such a tiring job and can focus their attention observing the CCTVs in the guard room instead of walking around as that will cause them to lose concentration when they get tired.
The installation of CCTVs have resulted in low crime rates, and there is no doubt that it has given us a safe environment to live in. With them, our world would be a much nicer place to live in.
