Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors.
These cameras help us by mantaining law and order in our society. When crimes are carried out, CCTV is a useful technical gadget to aid the society in tracking down such crimes.
CCTV's also have a psychological effect on many criminals. In some cases, fake CCTVs have been used in certain areas. When theives spot these "CCTV's" they would be afraid to commit crimes.
CCTV's have helped the police right many wrongs, and one day it might right yours too.

Nicholas, you have merely repeated what was presented via the CNN blog and the write-up. What would have been of more substance is presenting your own viewpoints which does not necessarily have to echo what's already given. In expressing our own viewpoint, you will learn to be critical but relevant. Making your own judgement and showing support for it is one way to develop critical as well as independent thinking.
